Partnering with American Airlines, OfferUp users will now be able to purchase American Airlines miles at exclusive rates on the app, but ONLY when connected to American Airlines in-flight wi-fi on domestic flights (or via AA lounges’ wi-fi). When users open the app in-flight, it will unlock an exclusive tab, where a number of one-time mileage offers are available. Prior to each flight taking off, AA crew will announce to passengers this deal, and allow them the chance to download and install the app before take-off. Signage will also be placed at American Airlines terminals across the United States, as well as via AA’s and OfferUp’s social accounts, encouraging travelers to download the app for these offers.
